Nasty C might be loosing his stage name, here’s why.

Last year, rumors had that Nasty C and former label Mabala Noise were being sued over payment of several million Rands.

The rapper when asked about the whole situation in an interview on WTF Tumi, Nasty C claimed to have no idea of the case what so ever.

However, it appears that this very same case has resurfaced and carries a lot more weight.

According to Sunday Sun, Nasty C’s former management agency called Freeworld Music is currently pursuing a case against the rapper and Mabala Noise. They might have to pay up to R4,5 million to the agency due to breaches in contractual agreement which happened whilst he was still signed to Mabala Noise.

The agency had signed a contract with Mabala Noise which allowed it to earn 25% of the rappers revenue from Nasty C’s performances. The rappers label decided to drop the agency mid contract and started doing the bookings themselves.

Freeworld is also ordering the rapper to stop using his stage name “Nasty C” as they are said to own the rights to the name. Nasty was served with an order to stop using his stage name and continued to use it.
